Use Your Skills. Serve Your Community. Create Lasting Impact.
At the Burmese American Resource Network (BARN), we believe that professional success is most meaningful when it is used in service of others. Joining our network means more than lending your expertise it means becoming part of a movement to close real gaps, solve real problems, and create real change in the lives of Burmese Americans and immigrant families in Frederick, Maryland and beyond.
Why Join BARN's Professional Network?
We chose this path because we understand that knowledge, skill, and professional achievement do not exist in isolation. If we are not using what we have built to help our community grow, heal, and thrive we are not fully living out the purpose of our work. Whether you are a lawyer, doctor, therapist, financial advisor, business professional, educator, or specialist in your field, your expertise has the power to transform lives in ways that no government program or institution can replicate.
The Burmese American community faces significant barriers when it comes to accessing qualified professional services barriers of language, culture, cost, and trust. BARN exists to bridge that gap, and we need professionals who share our values to help us do it.
How It Works
BARN connects community members and families with trusted, vetted professionals across a wide range of fields. Through our network, professionals offer low-bono services and flexible payment plans that make quality care and expert guidance accessible to individuals and families who may not be able to afford standard upfront costs. This is not charity it is equity. It is the recognition that everyone deserves a fair chance to receive the help and support they need, regardless of their financial situation.
By working alongside BARN's leadership and community partners, network professionals help us deliver:
⚖️ Legal Guidance & Immigration Support Attorneys and paralegals providing immigration assistance, legal consultations, and advocacy for families navigating the U.S. legal system.
